Your week in outfits: Seven days, seven different plans

Morning runs, leg day, Pilates and the plans in between. Seven outfit ideas that mix familiar favourites with SET Active, Port de Bras and LSKD — because your week is not one dress code.

15 October 2026

A morning run is not a lunch date. Leg day is not a rest day. And the outfit you want for Pilates might need to work a little harder once the class is over.

That is the thinking behind Your week in outfits: seven looks for the different things a week can hold. Not a seven-day workout prescription, and definitely not a reason to buy an entirely new wardrobe. Just a little inspiration for getting dressed around the life you actually lead.

Our Instagram carousel gives you the looks. Here, we get into what makes them work: the colour combinations, the layers that change the mood and a few brands worth getting to know along the way.

Monday: Morning run

Red shorts, a contrast-trim bra and an ivory gilet. Monday starts with a sporty palette that feels deliberate without being overly matched.

SET Active’s Rouge track shorts bring the colour; the Metro Crossback Scoop Bra picks it up in the trim. The adidas by Stella McCartney gilet adds a lighter layer, while the grey On Cloudmonster 1 trainers stop the whole look becoming too coordinated.

SET Active is one to notice throughout this edit. Its pieces appear in three very different outfits, from this red-accented combination to Friday’s track jacket and Saturday’s simple tank. The appeal here is the styling range: you can build around its colours without feeling obliged to wear a full matching set.

For an actual run, choose the bra support and footwear that suit you and your distance. An outfit can be the starting point; it should not make those decisions for you.

Tuesday: Leg day loading

Chocolate brown and powder blue are doing the work here. The light-blue edging on the Port de Bras Athena Bra ties in with Oner Active’s AirMove trousers, while LSKD’s Hot Chocolate shorts keep the darker half of the palette grounded.

Think of the trousers as the layer for getting there and heading home, with the shorts underneath for your session. Add the chocolate Oysho sports bag and Nike P-6000 trainers, and the whole thing reads as one outfit rather than a collection of unrelated kit.

Port de Bras is the discovery to linger on. The Athena’s contrast edging makes a relatively small piece feel considered. Later in the week, the brand’s piped trench takes that same attention to detail outside the workout wardrobe. If you like athleisure with a more dressed point of view, those two pieces are a good introduction.

Wednesday: Rest day

Rest day does not have to mean whatever was nearest the bed.

Here, the Ernest Leoty corset-style bodysuit in Off White gives a clean base to the burgundy adidas Firebird trousers. Their satin finish and lace hem bring a different texture to the familiar track silhouette; the Maebe Polina jacket keeps the upper half easy and relaxed.

Burgundy adidas by Stella McCartney Sportswear 76 trainers pull the colour through to the shoes. It is a good example of how a tonal footwear choice can make track trousers feel like part of an outfit, rather than something you happened to put on.

Coffee, errands, a slow afternoon: no workout required.

Thursday: Lift, then lunch

This is the outfit where the jacket changes the conversation.

The Maebe Dakota biker jacket in brown sits over an understated khaki Oysho bra and cream adidas Originals by Jennie pleated track trousers. ASICS trainers and a lululemon duffle keep the practical, sporty thread running through it.

The styling idea is the contrast: a biker jacket with fluid track trousers, a muted green against brown and cream. For the lifting part, wear the support and training shoes your session calls for; the jacket is the layer you add afterwards. Lunch gets a different version of the same base outfit.

Friday: Pilates, then plans

Espresso is the anchor: a Bo+Tee Soft Active tank and 7/8 leggings, with SET Active’s Brulee Nylon Track Varsity Zip Up layered over the top.

The lighter jacket breaks up the matching base without losing the warm colour story. Then the leopard-print adidas SL 72 OG trainers, complete with orange laces, introduce something a little less predictable.

Those trainers are the after-class styling choice, not a suggestion for what to wear on the reformer. Follow your studio’s footwear or grip-sock requirements, then change for whatever Friday has lined up next.

This is where a matching set earns its place: not because everything needs to match, but because it gives you an easy starting point for a more interesting layer or shoe.

Saturday: Got places to be

The Port de Bras Rib Trench in Black / Chantilly is the focal point. Its pale piping gives the black coat definition, echoed by the white SET Active Scoop V Tank in Lisbon underneath.

TALA’s black DayFlex capris keep the silhouette close through the leg, while the patterned adidas Japan trainers add another point of interest without introducing a new colour story.

This is athleisure for a day out, not an outfit pretending to be training kit. The trench brings enough presence that the pieces underneath can stay simple. Sometimes discovering a new brand starts with one excellent outer layer, rather than a whole wardrobe overhaul.

Sunday: Made to move

Sunday softens the palette: Cocoa Powder, off-white, ivory and a little pink.

LSKD’s Force Sports Bra in Cocoa Powder-Off White pairs with the Accelerate 3-inch shorts in plain Cocoa Powder. The ivory Alo Origin jacket adds a light-coloured layer, with pink Puma Deviate NITRO 4 trainers and the Gymshark Poise Pink holdall carrying the accent colour.

LSKD is worth a closer look if running shorts are on your list. This edit includes both its Elixir shorts for Tuesday and its Accelerate shorts for Sunday: two different shapes, used in two different outfits. Here, the contrast comes from pairing the plain shorts with the two-tone bra, rather than making every detail identical.

A run, a walk or simply getting out of the house: choose the version of Sunday you want, then dress for it.

The thread through the week

The common thread is not one brand or one matching set. It is a few styling decisions repeated in different ways: pick a colour to anchor the outfit, echo it somewhere else, then use a layer or a contrasting texture to shift the mood.

SET Active brings colour and easy track silhouettes. Port de Bras brings the detailing that makes you look twice. LSKD gives the shorts-and-bra combinations their own identity. Familiar names sit alongside them, because discovering a new label does not mean abandoning the pieces you already like.

Take one combination, borrow a colour pairing or rethink the jacket you put over your usual set. Seven days of inspiration should make getting dressed feel easier, not turn it into another task.
